Fundraiser to benefit the ALSA
NOVEMBER 5, 2011 - A Worthy Event, a division of All American Bingo, hosted a private fundraising event with the proceeds to benefit the ALS Association St. Louis Regional Chapter, which provides programs and services, free of charge, to ALS patients and their families in Eastern Missouri as well as Central and Southern Illinois.
The chic and philanthropic evening featured a silent auction with a multitude of prizes including dining vouchers for renowned St. Louis restaurants, original artwork from St. Louis local artists, pampering packages, entrance to area attractions and more. Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, specialty Pearl Vodka cocktails, air brush tatooing, dancing and a special live performance by St. Louis local band, Fivefold. This themed event was held in a warehouse resembling Batman's Gotham City. Cocktail or Batman inspired attire was word by guests.
The money and awareness raised at All American Bingo's BATtle Against ALS will not only help the ALS Association fund research to find a cure for ALS and provide much needed services to patients and their families, but it will also help sustain hope in thousands of people affected by ALS.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is an aggressive degenerative, neuromuscular disease with no known cure or effective treatment. The financial cost to the families of persons with ALS can be hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. The Association provides patients and families with respite care, equipment loan, family mentor, augmentative communication and assistive technology programs, nutritional supplement, transportation and emergency assistance.
